THE COUNTDOWN TO THE HOMECOMING

CATEEL, DAVAO ORIENTAL – On August 11, 2012, the officers of the Association of Cateel Maryknollians, Incorporated or ACMI headed by its President Engr. Patrocenio Veroy, together with the Ad Hoc Committee consisting of Geraldson Dacuycuy – Secretary, Rocky Silverio – PRO, and Agnes Abarca – Auditor and the representatives of the 46 batches launched a celebrated “COUNTDOWN TO THE HOMECOMING” through a colorful motorcade along the main thoroughfares of Cateel Poblacion.

The jovial motorcade was joined by a least 5 SUV vehicles and a number of motorcycles. The participants wore the T-shirts produced by the social media wing of the Alumni Organization. The Countdown to the Golden Jubilee is part of the ACMI’s effort to entice all Alumni of now Maryknoll Academy of Cateel to take part of this once-in-a-lifetime affair. The said event also aimed to make the whole town of Cateel aware of the grandest celebration being cooked up by Maryknollians, here and abroad. It will be the very first of its kind to be staged in the whole Cateel.

Despite the light rain, the motorcade around town went as scheduled and successful. It was then followed by a regular meeting of the Ad Hoc committee.
