Founded back in 1962 by Father William Galvin, a Maryknoll missionary priest, the Maryknoll Academy of Cateel (MAC) formerly known as the Sacred Heart of Cateel and Maryknoll High School of Cateel will be celebrating its Golden Anniversary on October 26-28, 2012 with theme “Golden Reap for Valued Friendship, Renewed Commitment and Loyalty to our Beloved Maryknoll of Cateel.”

Initiated by the Association of Cateel Maryknollers, Incorporated (ACMI) in partnership with MAC Administration, the much awaited celebration of this 50^th Founding Anniversary highlights the Grand Alumni Homecoming expected to bring home at least 3,000 alumni coming from different parts of the world.

Lining up with various colorful events and fun-filled activities, the three-day event is projected to be the first of its kind. It is not just the common homecoming or the usual golden jubilee; it will be the most spectacular celebration ever staged in the whole town of Cateel that will set standard and surely leave indelible marks in the hearts of everyone.
